I think I have encountered this before and fixed it. I just need to find time to look back and find what the issue was. From memory there was something missing from the PHP install. It shouldn't be DOM in 3.0.1 since that now checks if it is installed before running.

Trent, does following the same procedure Myrhial followed above help, or at least narrow down the error?

i have exact the same error. when i change settings in the global settings section i recieve an timeout and the changes are not set.

The update is that I can't duplicate the problem. While Trent helped narrow down the problem, I still can't find any cause in the code.
